Dr. Valeria Giannuzzi, CPsychol,
is a Chartered Psychologist Member of The British Psychological Society. She is trained in Clinical and Community Psychology. She holds a PhD in Social Science and she is specialised in migrants’ integration and community development. She worked many years with migrants, refugees, women, Roma families and unaccompanied minors in Italy, where she was born. She lived in Spain, The Netherlands, Mexico, and finally settled in Barking, Essex, where she started her family and became the mother of her incredible son Leonardo. 

Almu's most important life project currently is being a mum and building a happy family with her partner. She is interested in people's stories, and how to create a healthier and happier community.  Over the last 20 years, her most rewarding achievements have been her BA Hons in European Theatre Arts, being a founding member and actress with Panta Rei Theatre, work with Phakama Project to deliver intergenerational projects between schools and care homes, being a teaching assistant and Club leader for a SEN school specialised in children with Autism, amongst many other jobs. Last but not least, she is very excited about being part of the positive and exciting transformational change happening in Barking and Dagenham.
